Welcome to Inkythings
Welcome to inkythings. My days are spent as a designer on an Apple Mac. But my evenings are for exploring my passion; which is my little Adana Letterpress machine. This machine belonged to my Dad, who was a traditionally trained printer. Once my husband had lovingly restored the press to working order, we named my Adana Dave, after my Dad.
Raised by a man who loved ink and print, I was keen to continue his legacy and keep the ink flowing. So Inkythings was born,
a space to record my adventures with ink and paper.
Using Dad’s Adana Press, I have been teaching myself letterpress using a combination of hot metal type and traditional wood type. My collection continues to expanded thanks to eBay, I now have an eclectic mixture of fonts.
I hope to post new creations regularly, so do visit again to see what new letterpress experiments Dave and I have created together. We hope you enjoy our inky adventure.
